Where do I find Prudential Commercial awards criteria?

Log onto the PREA Center and click on AWARDS. You will find criteria, reporting instructions, Certificates for companies, and listings of previous award winners. A listing of all the Awards with a brief description of each category may also be found in COMMERCIAL SERVICES CS, under About CS. Click on 'Program Summary'. If you do not have a login key to the PREA Center website, see your office administrator.

Where do I find the Audio/Video Lending Library List and Rental Form?

There are two places to retrieve the Audio/Video Lending Library List, but only one for the Rental Form. The A/V List may be found in the 'Program Summary' under COMMERCIAL SERVICES CS on the PREA Center website, (see above paragraph for details on accessing the website). Check the Table of Contents for the correct page.

The A/V List and Rental Form are available by calling the CRES corporate office at 310.205.3823 or emailing emilyjohnson@prudentialcres.com. One item may be checked out at a time for a period of 14 days each. Your broker's authorization is required to check out materials; your broker's ACH account will only be charged should the item not be returned upon request or if damaged. Shipping and handling is paid by the affiliate.

Where can I recruit sales professionals or post job openings?

Since most recruiting is done locally, your local newspaper or business journal may be a good place to start. Also, visit the website or career opportunities office of local or regional 2-year or 4-year colleges. Candidates interested in commercial real estate may not necessarily have a real estate background, but a background in a related field, such as finance, urban planning, banking or a field of social science. There are a few websites that specialize in commercial real estate job postings and resume postings. *www.real-jobs.com lists experienced sales professionals and students seeking placement from the major real estate programs across the country. It includes job postings as well as resumes, and a great deal more. It is free to the user. Many industry trade groups advertise employment opportunities on their web sites as well, however most university listings are for newer sales professionals seeing internships or entry level positions.

How do I write up a job description or recruiting letter?

Log in to the PREA Center website, find COMMERCIAL SERVICES CS and click on Admin & Operations. Then click on 'Recruiting' and you will find documents to help you determine what kind of sales professional you are looking for, what the job description should be and how to format it attractively. The Recruiting Program has two parts. The first part is a study guide that discusses the recruiting of commercial sales professionals. The second part is a workbook that provides a complete, consistent recruiting program for the commercial department.

Can I get CCIM credit for the CRES MOST course or any class offered by CRES?

No. The CRES MOST course teaches methods, techniques and strategies of conducting business, managing transactions and organizing files for sales professionals and professional offices. Because it is based on procedures and processes rather than 'hard information' it does not qualify for any kind of CCIM or State Certification.

Where do I find out information about the CRES Training Schedule for the year?

Click on Training Programs. There are usually two CRES MOST training sessions offered each year, and two one-day seminars offered. The fall schedule of training sessions does not usually appear on the website until the summer. Additional workshops and specialty seminars are offered at the PCS Annual Business Conference. All of these courses are offered free of charge to all PCS affiliates.

Do you have sample forms or documents for PCS that I can download to use for developing a commercial property package?

Log in on the PREA Center website, click on Commercial Services CS, then on 'Commercial Marketing' listed in the E-LIBRARY. Once you're in the 'Commercial Marketing' file, click on 'Outline for Developing a Commercial Property Package'. There are suggestions and guidelines to help create a package, but no specific form(s) to use.

How do I sign up for the discounted LoopNet Premium membership?

How do I get on the Commercial Referral Resume Database?

To be eligible to receive commercial referrals, affiliates must complete an on-line Company Profile, Sales Professional Resume(s) and/or Transaction Records. Initially to participate, the Affiliate must email the company name, address, telephone and fax numbers to ingridvanarnhem@prudentialcres.com. You will then be e-mailed your company username and password and instructions on how to access and populate the database. It is important that you populate the database with current and useful information about the company and the sales professionals listed, rather than simply listing address and phone number.
