2006 Prudential Commercial Services Annual Business Conference

March 17-19, 2006, Hyatt Regency Hotel, San Antonio, TX

The 2006 Prudential Commercial Services Annual Business Conference was held in San Antonio, TX. Commercial sales professionals from PCS and PREA offices from all over the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada attended presentations, breakout sessions and discussions groups covering a wide variety of topics.

The two-day Conference was opened by Mark Donahue, President and CEO of CRES (Commercial Real Estate Solutions). Donahue introduced new affiliates who have joined Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate during 2005. Each gave brief presentation.

Dennis Kelly, Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, then shared good news that Prudential franchisees did $3.9 Billion on unit volume in 2005. He outlined goals for 2006 including increasing commercial network GCI by 30% to over $130M, and adding 15 new commercial franchise locations. Kelly also told the assembled group that PREA has re-negotiated the CRES contract until 2015 and reinforced Prudential CRES Commercial Real Estate as a national brand.

In addition to many opportunities for networking and meeting new affiliates, there were excellent presentations, by TopDogs™, CCIM "Site to Do Business", Prudential Corporate Real Estate, National Investment Property Exchange (NIPE), RIISnet, HyTech Consulting, and Playa Capistrano Enterprises. Separate Breakout and Round table sessions were held for broker/owner/managers and sales professionals affording excellent opportunities to discuss timely topics in smaller settings.

A Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony was held Saturday evening featuring Olympian Mark Spitz as guest speaker. Remarks by Earl Lee, President of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, and Mark Donahue, President of CRES and host for the evening, added to the festivities.
