1 CCIM: A Certified Commercial Investment Member is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. A CCIM is an invaluable resource to the commercial real estate owner, investor and user, and is among an elite corps of professionals across North America who hold the CCIM designation – the "PhD of commercial real estate".

2 CIPS: A Certified International Property Specialist is a real estate professional who has proven expertise in the specialized international arena by completing the program requirements administered through the National Association of Realtors® International Operations area. The CIPS curriculum focuses on ownership and transaction principals of international real estate, including specifics on real estate markets in Europe, the Americas and Asia/Pacific. CIPS Designees have passed all academic and experimental requirements needed to be recognized as specialists in international real estate.

3 NAR President's Liaison to Japan: President's Liaisons are NAR members, appointed by the NAR president to serve as his or her liaison to each of NAR's foreign Cooperating Associations. Appointees are generally CIPS designees and, ideally, have some knowledge of the country's culture and language. Appointments are made each year prior to NAR's annual Convention. Appointments run concurrent to the NAR presidential term. The position of President's Liaison is a significant one, as Liaisons help to maintain NAR's important relationships with foreign real estate associations.

4 NFRETA: National Federation for Real Estate Transaction Associations in Japan.
